My name is Ricardo Adão and this blog is my way of contributing to the tech community by sharing some pieces of knowledge and rare light bulb moments.

I have been working in the IT industry for more years than care to admit.

My journey through IT covers a lot of skills and roles from Software Development, Security, Network and for the last couple of years Virtualization, mainly VMware technologies.

After a couple of years working @Rackspace in the VMware side of the house, the opportunity to join @VMware as an NSX Senior Consultant in the NEMEA PSO team was a hard challenge to refuse.

After a few amazing years at VMware working with incredible people on challenging projects, the 2026 restructuring brought unexpected change.

In May 2026, I joined @Xtravirt as a Senior Consultant in the Professional Services team, a great opportunity to continue growing alongside a trusted VMware partner.
